What to send your web designer before the project starts
Send your business details, your logo, your best photos, a list of your services and the contact numbers you want customers to use. Having these ready is the biggest thing you can do to finish a website sooner.

The short list
- Your business name as you want it written, and what you do in one sentence.
- Your logo as a file, not a photo of a signboard.
- The phone and WhatsApp numbers and email address you want customers to use.
- A list of your services or products, with what makes each one useful.
- Photos of your work, shop, team or products.
- The address of your current website, if any.
Photos
Good photos make a site feel real. Send the originals from your phone or camera, not copies sent through a chat app, which squeeze the quality. Photos of your actual work or shop are better than stock images.
Words
You do not have to write the pages. Tell us in plain words what you do, who your customers are and what they usually ask first. We turn that into text and you correct it. Note anything you must say, such as licences or registrations.
Logins and ownership
If you already have a domain name or hosting, find out where it is registered and who has the login. Do not share passwords in chat. Your designer should tell you a safe way to hand over access.
Examples
Send two or three websites you like and one thing you like about each. It helps more than a long description.
When you are ready, message Web Start India and we will take it from there.
Quick answers
How long should I take to gather my content?
Take the time you need. Photos and a list of services are usually the slowest part, and a site goes live faster when they are ready at the start.
Do I need to write the website text myself?
No. Tell us what you do and who your customers are, and Web Start India writes the pages for you to correct.
Contact
Not sure where to start? Tell us what your business does.
We will tell you what to fix first, even when it is not something we sell.
There is no contact form to fill in. You message us, and a person replies.
